Method Man and Redman surprised concertgoers during the New York State of Mind tour stop in Newark, New Jersey with a performance of "Da Rockwilder" in the Funk Doc's hometown.

Method Man himself was a surprise for many, as he explained via social media earlier this month that he would not be able to make the tour due to scheduling conflicts stemming from his acting schedule. "I fucking love Wu-Tang Clan", he said in the video clip. "I wish I could have been on that tour with them. The booking came at a bad time; I was already booked to do a movie."

The highly anticipated New York State of Mind Tour featuring Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, and Busta Rhymes kicked off on Tuesday (8/30) in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The Michigan stop of the tour saw Public Enemy's Flavor Flav joining Nas on stage and tonight (9/14) the tour stops in Virginia Beach. The tour hits Charlotte, Atlanta, Houston, Austin, Dallas Phoenix, Oakland and L.A. where it wraps on October 4.
