In other recent Ludacris news, a dramedy which chronicles his early radio days in Atlanta is in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, BET+ is developing an untitled half hour scripted dramedy series inspired by Ludacris’ early days as Cris Lova Lova on the Atlanta radio scene.
The script will be written and executive produced by Noah Gardenswartz, with Ludacris serving as an executive producer and music supervisor. Universal television and Luda’s label Disturbing Tha Peace are developing the series along with his longtime manager, Shaka Zulu.
In a recent interview with Rock The Bells, Ludacris broke down his early radio history. “I definitely started on the radio, I was rapping before that but I went to the radio to get my music heard and it ended up working,” the “Area Codes” MC says. “I worked at 97.5 in Atlanta which is now 107.9, that’s really where I got my start. I appreciate everyone who supported me since day one.”
