Lauryn Hill, Will Smith, Usher, And More Shine At The 2024 BET Awards

The 2024 BET Awards went down on Sunday night (6/30) at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, where Killer Mike grabbed an award for Album of the Year for his Grammy winning album Michael, while SZA and Usher took home Best Female and Male R&B/Pop Artist, respectively. Best Female Hip-Hop Artist went to Nicki Minaj, while Kendrick Lamar grabbed Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.

Highlights of the night included Will Smith's performance of his new single, "You Can Make It" joined by Kirk Franklin, Chandler Moore, and Sunday Service Choir. Lauryn Hill and her son YG Marley performed a rousing rendition of "Praise JAH In The Moonlight", and her Fugees group mate Wyclef Jean joined her for their hit "Fu-Gee-La". The night ended with Usher receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award, and a performance honoring him featuring Teyana Taylor, Victoria Monét, Coco Jones, Chlöe, Keke Palmer, and Childish Gambino.
