After teasing its arrival, Killer Mike's first solo album in more than 10 years, MICHAEL, is officially on the way this summer.

Mike dropped off a new single in support of the album, "Don't Let The Devil," produced by and featuring his Run The Jewels partner El-P, who also produced his last solo record, 2012's stellar R.A.P. Music. No I.D. and Little Shalimar also assist on the sweeping, sample-laced production.

"My favorite group (US) with my favorite producers!" Mike said of the song. "It’s our 10 year anniversary and MICHAEL is an origin story so I wanted to start with El."

He also described the direction of the much-anticipated album. "RTJ is the X-Men, this is my Logan,” Mike said of the LP. He described it as “his most autobiographical and independent” record to date.

Mike debuted Michael during a listening at SXSW earlier this year, performing the tracks "Shed Tears" and "High + Holy," a tribute to his wife, who's regularly mentioned in his music as a source of inspiration. Last year, the Atlanta rapper released two singles, "RUN" featuring Dave Chappelle and "Talk'n That Shit," produced by Memphis vet DJ Paul.

As aforementioned, MICHAEL will be Mike's first solo project since 2012's stellar R.A.P. Music, which was produced by El-P and kickstarted their incredible Run The Jewels partnership, producing a nearly flawless four-album run.

RTJ fans also have reason to celebrate. Mike has hinted that RTJ 5 could be on the way as well. Late last month, they announced a new tour in celebration of their 10th anniversary. RTJX is a series of live concert events in New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and LA, where for four nights in each city, Killer Mike and El-P will perform the four albums spanning their entire career with a different set list each night.

MICHAEL is due out June 16. Listen to "Don't Let The Devil" featuring El-P and thankugoodsir below.
