Still, Cudi has his sights set on television. As part of Netflix's Geek Week earlier this summer, the streaming service released a teaser for Kid Cudi and black-ish creator Kenya Barris' new animated series, Entergalactic. The series is based on Cudi's upcoming album of the same name, and the voice cast includes Jessica Williams, Timothee Chalamet, Ty Dolla $ign, Laura Harrier, Vanessa Hudgens, Christopher Abbott, 070 Shake, Teyana Taylor, Jaden Smith, Keith David, Arturo Castro, Macaulay Culkin and Kid Cudi.
Entergalactic, (which also features music from Cudi's album), follows Jabari, a young artist voiced by Cudi, who attempts to balance love and success in New York City. Netflix describes the series as "an explosion of art, music, and fashion."
Earlier this year, Cudi tweeted his excitement for the project. "I am so fuckin' proud of this show," he shared at the time. "U have no idea what ur in for. 3 years in the making. ENTERGALACTIC is the greatest piece of art we've ever made."
