Kendrick Lamar's 'GKMC' Has Now Spent 10 Full Years on the Billboard 200

Ahead of the 10-year anniversary of his classic major label debut, good kid M.A.A.D. city, Kendrick Lamar has made Billboard history. According to Chart Data, GKMC has now spent a full 10 years on the Billboard 200 — it's the first Hip-Hop studio album to achieve the feat.

In 2019, the project became the longest-charting Hip Hop studio album in Billboard history, surpassing Eminem's The Eminem Show. On the most recent release of the Billboard chart, GKMC claimed the no. 46 spot — Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers and DAMN. are also on the chart at no. 26 and no. 63 respectively.

While Eminem's Curtain Call has charted for over 600 weeks (roughly 11 years and 6 months), it's technically a compilation, not an album, so Kendrick still gets the history-making claim.

In honor of the 10th anniversary, the Compton rapper will live stream the Paris show of his 'Big Steppers' tour. The show will be streamed live from the Paris Accor Arena and can be viewed exclusively on three Amazon platforms. The stream will begin live at 2 p.m. ET on Oct. 22 on Prime Video, the Amazon Music app and Amazon Music’s Twitch account. The concert can be streamed on-demand on Prime Video after the live stream.
