Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings has entered into a multi-year partnership with Create Music Group that includes the label's recordings, publishing, back catalog, and future output. As part of the agreement Dupri will segue from CEO of So So Def to its chairman and founder.

In a press release Dupri, a Grammy -winning producer and a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame said that he has been "looking for home for the entire So So Def brand."

Jonathan Strauss, CEO & founder of Create Music Group, shared, “Jermaine has been one of the most successful and impactful forces in music for the last three decades. We are honored that he and his team have decided to partner with us for both his catalog and future output.”

So So Def Recordings, was home to Da Brat, Xscape, Lil Bow Wow, Jagged Edge, and Anthony Hamilton. As a producer Dupri crafted hits for Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, and Usher. So So Def celebrated its 30th anniversary last year.
