As she so plainly states in the caption promoting her interview on the first episode of longtime friend and Tanya Morgan rapper, Donwill's new podcast, legendary multi-hyphenate Jean Grae doesn't sit down and talk "rappity rap" with just anyone. It's what makes the interview on his freshly launched podcast, The Almanac of Rap, so cool. That, and her take on who has the most unhinged bars ever.

Her answer? "Prodigy, number one," she immediately declares, citing Prodigy's classic verse on Mobb Deep's "Keep It Thoro" as her personal favorite opening line. "Just like, someone walks in a room and is like, 'I break bread, ribs, hundred dollar bills,'" she laughs. "It's like, if I knew nothing else about you' ... and he's like, 'I'm gonna give you a list...'"

Jean Grae is busy with an assortment of projects and events, including her ongoing services for the Church of the Infinite You. Rapping, however, is no longer on the list ("stopped rapping years ago, let it go") she advises on her IG profile.

As for Donwill, he released a new song with Tanya Morgan, "A Whole Mood," earlier this year. His new podcast, The Almanac of Rap, will be posted second Tuesday on Sonos's Radio Show Directory and Mixcloud as well.
