A rep for Irv Gotti revealed to The Shade Room that he is currently working on a DMX biopic while recovering from a stroke earlier this year. “I’m getting older. That’s all,” he explains. “Only thing worse than getting old is not getting old.”

According to the rep, "He has been spending family time with his sons, and his two dogs. The rep also revealed that Gotti's children weren't happy about the news of their fathers stroke being made public. "His children were upset by Wack 100's announcement of his condition. They love their dad so much."

Talent manager Wack 100 revealed that the Murder Inc. founder suffered a stroke earlier this year. A Gotti rep made a statement to TMZ about the mogul's condition. "Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago," the rep shared. "He has since changed his diet and is eating more healthy. He's been successful in making a full recovery. Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life."

Wack has posted images of Irv walking with a cane outside of a rehabilitation facility (he referred to the cane as a walker). Gotti addressed his health issues on a past episode of Drink Champs where he says that his diabetes is hereditary, but reversible with a lifestyle change. "[Diabetes] is rampant with Black people," he explained. "I've been diagnosed with diabetes forever, its hereditary. You gotta change the way you eat and all that."
