Fat Joe visited The White House earlier today (3/15) to moderate a panel on marijuana reform with Vice President Kamala Harris. At the roundtable, Vice President Harris acknowledged her own role in what she described as a unequal criminal justice system.

“I believe that the promise of America includes equal justice under the law. And for too many, our criminal justice system has failed to live up to that core principal,” said Harris, who began her career in politics as a prosecutor in California. “And I say that with full knowledge of how this system has worked, including my experience as a prosecutor,” she added.

"I thank you Fat Joe for being here, for taking the time, and for your voice and artistry on so many critical issues," Harris said to Joe at the start of the panel. The Vice President was also joined by Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear, and advocates who have received pardons from the administration.

Fat Joe has also partnered with Power To The Patients to advocate for transparency in healthcare reform. “Our healthcare system needs comprehensive reform and I remain committed to using my platform to work alongside Power to the Patients and give a voice to the voiceless,” Joe told The Hill in an exclusive statement.
