Chuck D, Fat Joe, and Foo Fighters are uniting for a D.C. performance next month to bring transparency to healthcare with Power to the Patients. In a statement the Foo Fighters explained the importance of healthcare transparency, and why they decided to participate.

“When we were asked by Power to the Patients to help raise awareness of the need for transparency in healthcare pricing, we immediately said yes," the band explained. "People suffering from illness and injury shouldn’t have to worry about being bankrupted by surprise charges for their treatment.”

Lawmakers and advocates will be present at the March 5 event, according to Rolling Stone. Chuck D calls the lack of transparency regarding the costs of health care "an American humanitarian crisis," while Busta Rhymes, Method Man, and French Montana who have also partnered with Power to the Patients demand actual prices in healthcare, "not averages, not estimates, but real prices."

Chuck D, Fat Joe, Method Man, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, and French Montana joined forces with Power to the Patients to demand healthcare price transparency in a PSA last year. The PSA demands that our elected officials commit to creating transparency within the healthcare system, to allow more honest, equitable and affordable healthcare across the country.
