Donald Glover's new series, Swarm, is set to premiere on Prime Video on March 17.
Glover teamed with Atlanta writer and producer Janine Nabers for the series. Nabers is also Swarm's showrunner while Glover directed the first episode. The series follows a fan (played by Dominque Fishback who also serves as a producer on the show) who is obsessed with a pop star who's very similar to Beyoncé. Fishback will star alongside Damson Idris and Chloe Bailey (who's signed to Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment).
The trailer is super creepy, with Fishback (who also starred in Judas and The Black Messiah) appearing very much like an obsessed fan who might be capable of violence. Of course, Glover's last television series, Atlanta, was a huge success, racking up awards and reshaping television in the process. It also catapulted its stars, LaKeith Stanfield, Zazie Beetz, and Brian Tyree Henry to stardom — both Stanfield and Henry have since been nominated for Academy Awards.
