Henry isn't the first actor from Atlanta to earn an Oscar nomination. LaKeith Stanfield, who played Darius on the show, also earned an Oscar nomination for his role in the 2021 film Judas and the Black Messiah.
Other nominees for this year's awards include Angela Bassett who's up for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
As for Atlanta, it wrapped its fourth and final season last year. The Oscars will air on March 12. Check out the full list of nominees here.
