I am proud of this album because I had the chance to work with a group of talented individuals to create a cohesive body of work for my contribution to the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop.

- Jay Mob to Rock The Bells

On "Listen To This Shit Again" Ruste Juxx delivers his signature rugged flow with the infectious hook, "Hip-Hop/mean 16's/ let a clip pop/ so next time that you wanna flip, stop/ and listen to this shit again/Jay Mob and Juxx they really get it in."

"Ilee" featuring Maddillz and Lady Lee sees both MCs flexing over a string-heavy loop and a stuttering drum pattern. Jay Mob spoke with Rock The Bells about his inspiration for starting his own independent record label. "I started my own record label because I wanted creative control over the music that I was releasing," he says. "This creative control allows me to have a direct impact on the music being produced and released, as well as the overall direction of the label."

Paying Homage To Hip Hop is available on all streaming platforms with vinyl copies available soon. Visit Gas Face Records for more info and check out snippets from the project above.
