Diamond D continues to release visuals from his latest project The Rear View. Earlier this week, he dropped the video for "Life Is What You Make It" on the heels of releasing "The Scorn" video last month.
The video, which was filmed in Atlanta, Portugal, and Dubai features the D.I.T.C. co-founder enjoying the good life in restaurants, hotels and boats around the globe. Diamond told ROCK THE BELLS that he and Joe Cherry directed the video for Reemo films. The song, like many on the project, is slow-tempo, laid back, and more musical than some of his previous efforts. He attributes some of his industry peers for the widening of his musical palette.
"I'm still sample-based, but I use live musicianship to give the songs a big feel," he told ROCK THE BELLS. "I picked up that technique from producers like Nottz, Dr. Dre, and Battlecat. Though I'm still sample-based, I have to compete with what is on the radio, so it all ties in."
