6 'Ludacris' Moments From the 'Fast & Furious' Franchise

Fast & Furious is one of the most popular action franchises of the past few decades. Insanely fast cars doing the craziest stunts, huge explosions, wild fight sequences, and eye candy galore — what's not to love?

One of the most beloved characters in the franchise is undoubtedly Ludacris' character, Tej Parker, who debuted in 2 Fast 2 Furious and has transformed from a petty gambling auto shop owner to a high-tech computer (and safe) hacking genius over the years. When Brian (Paul Walker) asks exactly how he became a high-tech wizard in Fast Five, he simply replies: “I had a life before you knew me, O’Conner.” And there you have it.

There's no doubt that Fast & Furious movies have called on viewers to suspend reality a time or two, but that's all part of what makes it so addictive and fun (the franchise has grossed over $6 billion worldwide). Ludacris, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and is set to perform at the Rock The Bells Festival this August in Queens, has been fan favorite since entering the Fast & Furious world.

Here are 6 of the most "Ludacris" scenes from the beloved franchise. Fast X is in theaters now.

1. Tej and Roman drive a Pontiac Fiero to space. (Fast & Furious 9)

Tej and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) "drove" a souped up Pontiac Fiero into actual orbit to destroy a satellite created by Cipher (Charlize Theron). "This is crazy, bro!" Roman exclaims as they float through outer space, his eyes glazed over with wonder, echoing everyone's thoughts.

2. Tej's drawbridge shenanigans. (2 Fast 2 Furious)

In a preview of the wild scenes that were to come, during a Miami street race, Tej decides to surprise the racers by raising a drawbridge. Brian (Paul Walker) hits his trusty NOS, propelling his Nissan Skyline to literally soar over his competitor's Toyota Supra.

3. Invasion of the zombie cars. (The Fate of the Furious)

Cipher hijacks the computer systems in a bunch of cars and sends them racing through the streets in what made for one of the most insane, and memorable scenes in the franchise.

5. The high-speed vault heist.

Dom (Vin Diesel) and crew end up towing a 10-ton safe through the streets of Rio de Janeiro. Who cares if it was completely implausible? The heist plan against a Brazilian crime boss is epic.

6. Dom catches Letty like Superman. (Fast & Furious 6)

It didn't take too long for Fast & Furious stars to morph from being highly skilled racers to becoming practically invincible. Some of the wildest scenes in the series are embedded in their inexplicable ability to do a lot of supernatural stunts, including the time Dom deliberately crashes into a highway guardrail to eject himself from his car so that he can catch Letty (Michele Rodriquez), who's falling from a helicopter. Spoiler alert: he catches her, and moves to the next scene with nary a scratch in sight.

Tej drives across a burning rope bridge. (F9: The Fast Saga)

The are a lot of wild moments in F9, and high on the list is when a very determined Tej drives himself, Roman, and Ramsey (Nathalie Emanuel) across a rope bridge as it's completely incinerated behind them.
