In a recent WGCI radio interview, Common revealed his Mt. Rushmore of Chicago rappers. "Kanye is goin' on there for sure, and I'm gonna put Lupe Fiasco on there," he said. Common then named Twista and Durk as he said that he deserved a spot himself. "I'm gonna exclude myself, 'cus I would be up there," he chuckled.

When asked why he chose Durk instead of Chief Keef who "started the movement", Common replied "he did start it, but Durk took it [to another level]". Common ended his list with Chance The Rapper.

Common and Pete Rock continue the promotion of their collaborative project, The Auditorium Vol .1. The previously released singles "Wise Up", "Dreamin'", "All Kind Of Ideas", and "Fortunate" were methodically released over the last few weeks, causing great anticipation for this project.

Common's inspirational lyrics, and Pete Rock's Jazz heavy beats are on full display, and songs such as "Chi-Town Do It", 'This Man", "Everything's So Grand", and "When The Sun Shines Again" all feel like the best parts of both artists, tailored for 2024. Common & Pete Rock have scored one for Hip-Hop.
