Busta Rhymes took to IG recently to announce the first Flipmode Squad album since 1998's The Imperial. In the video Busta puffs a cigar and plays a snippet of a slow tempo, piano laced, boom bap track that features him and Rah Digga spittin'.

"I WILL NEVER STOP TELLIN' Y'ALL, THE BLESSINGS DON'T STOP SO WE WILL NEVER STOP," he posted. "BRAND NEW FLIPMODE SQUAD ALBUM IS COMIN'!! 26YRS LATER!! STAY TUNED SHIT BOUT TO GET A DIFFERENT TYPE A DANGEROUS OUT THIS BITCH!! ALBUM TITLE COMIN' SOON!!! EVERYDAY IT'S MORE SMOKE."

In other Busta news, his upcoming Blockbusta tour has been cancelled. Based on Ticketmaster updates, every show from the San Francisco opener on 3/13 to the Brooklyn closing show on 4/21 displays a status of cancelled on the concert ticketing website. Live Nation announced the tour in November of last year to support Busta's latest album BLOCKBUSTA.

BLOCKBUSTA is executive produced by super producers Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, and Pharrell. “I’m so grateful that you chose me to be a part of your legacy," Timbaland says in a clip announcing the project. Pharrell agrees, adding, "You really feel illuminated; this illumination is good because I think people are going to be able to get and feel that.”
