This year, there are also a number of music artists who were nominated in the motion picture categories, including Janelle Monáe, nominated for outstanding supporting actress in a motion picture for her fantastic turn in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (Netflix); Ledisi, nominated for her breakthrough performance in a motion picture for Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story; and Yola, nominated in that same category for Elvis. On the television front, there were also a number of music stars nominated for their acting work. Along with Meth, Queen Latifah (The Equalizer), Donald Glover (Atlanta), Willow Smith (Red Table Talk), Jennifer Hudson (The Jennifer Hudson Show), and Zendaya (Euphoria) all earned nominations for their work.
Voting is now open to determine the winners at www.naacpimageawards.net. Voting closes on Feb. 10. Winners will be revealed during the 54th NAACP Image Awards telecast on Feb. 25 on BET. NAACP will also recognize winners in non-televised categories Feb. 20-24, streaming on www.naacpimageawards.net.
