Ab-Soul hit Twitter earlier this week with a post that has some wondering if he will make a surprise appearance at Kendrick Lamar's upcoming Super Bowl halftime performance. The post read "Listen I have never gotten a Ft from Free. Smfh. I just shed a tear. Dead Homies. Super Bowl LIX. History!!!" That post which mentioned Lamar's manager Dave Free drew responses from his followers who are pondering whether a Black Hippy reunion is upon us.

In a recent Apple Music sponsored teaser, Lamar revealed that his tour mate SZA will appear as his special guest. In the teaser Lamar is engaged in a telephone conversation where he reveals that he's been thinking about a special guest, as an image of SZA appears on screen.

The halftime concert will be presented by Apple Music, and Jay-Z's Roc Nation will executive produce along with Jesse Collins. The show airs February 9, live from New Orleans. Super Bowl LIX marks Lamar's second time performing at the Super Bowl Halftime, as he performed in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre,Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, 50 Cent, and Eminem.
