By now, everybody should know the genius of OutKast. Andre 3000 and Big Boi helped reshape the Hip-Hop landscape in the 1990s and 2000s, with a string of classic albums and no shortage of hit singles.

But what somehow still gets slept on is the production talents of the duo and their erstwhile turntablist, Mr. D.J. The trio came together from day one, but didn't officially break out as a production team until 1999, when they formed Earthtone III, and began fully embracing their own sound. Latter OutKast albums would be chiefly helmed by Earthtone III (with the always-present Organized Noize offering contributions and serving as musical mentors), and the trio would also break out and start producing for other acts like No Doubt and Lenny Kravitz.

So to show some love to the futuristic funk of Earthtone III, we picked some tracks that best showcase their unique style.
