Yo-Yo is ready to show of her cooking skills in her new series, Downright Delicious With Yo-Yo on AspireTV. The debut episode premiered in March, and the series will launch in its entirety this June.

The lively new series features the rap veteran cooking some of her favorite dishes and desserts and mixing cocktails — this season’s recipes include brioche lobster rolls, salmon and broccolini lobster pasta, and coconut braised oxtails with red beans and rice. The series will also feature Hip-Hop royalty Roxanne Shanté as well as Mia X in the kitchen throwing down with Yo-Yo.

“I am excited to have a cooking show,” Yo-Yo said in a press release. “The kitchen is my happy place, where I connect with my family and friends! It brings me great joy to hop in the kitchen and whip up delicious meals packed with flavor, and now my fans and the audience get to hang out with me."

She says her meals aren't about being fancy but they are about providing fun times and good energy. “I’m not a fancy chef…I’m Yo-Yo from around the way, who can throw down in the kitchen. No big fancy chef stuff,” she says. “But I promise you everything I make is downright delicious, and you will always have a good time.”

In addition to launching Downright Delicious, Yo-Yo will be hitting the stage this summer at the Rock The Bells Festival on Aug. 5 in Queens, NY.

Downright Delicious With Yo-Yo premieres on June 6 on Aspire TV.
