Conway the Machine recently made his Shady Records debut when he dropped his new album, God Don’t Make Mistakes, last Friday (February 25). On Thursday (March 2), the Griselda wordsmith released the music video for the album’s second single, “Stressed,” featuring Philadelphia media personality, Wallo267.

In the single, the Buffalo rapper reflects on mental health, the importance of staying close, and checking in on your closest friends.

“Do anyone care that I’m stressed”? Conway raps on the track, as he touches on his cousin’s suicide, childhood abuse, the loss of his infant son, addiction, trauma, and the debilitating Bells Palsy diagnosis that he has suffered from since being shot in the head; and that almost killed him.

God Don’t Make Mistakes finds Conway the Machine at his most introspective yet, candidly vulnerable and reflective throughout the project, the “Scatter Brain,” rapper focusses on tackling his inner demons and bettering his mental health.

God Don’t Make Mistakes is now available to stream on all DSPs. The album features appearances and production from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, Jill Scott, T.I., Beanie Sigel, Hit-Boy, The Alchemist, Daringer, Beat Butcha, Bink, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Novel, Keisha Plum, Cosmo Beats, and Conway’s Drumwork label artists Jae Skeese and 7xvethegenius.

Conway is already planning on following up his critically acclaimed release with a collaboration album with Rock the Bell’s 2021 Producer of the Year, The Alchemist. Conway expressed his big plans for the remainder of the year during an interview with Hip-Hop-N-More, “It’s gonna be a big year for the machine. Big year, hopefully. God Willing.”
