The latest episode of TV One's Unsung chronicles the legacy of Cold Chillin' Records and the Juice Crew. The rise and fall of the iconic label is told through a series of interviews with Roxanne Shante, Cool V, Big Daddy Kane, Marley Marl, Fly Ty, Masta Ace, and Craig G.

Cold Chillin' Records co-founder Tyrone "Fly Ty" Williams shares the embryonic beginnings of The Juice Crew, and his radio career with the late Mr. Magic and Marley Marl at WHBI, and WBLS. The stories of MC Shan and Kool G. Rap who were not present are told by their Juice Crew comrades.

The artists share that mistrust, lack of focus from the label, and money issues led to the downfall of the iconic label. "I never received a royalty check, writers check, or publishing when I was with Cold Chillin'," Shante recalled. Marley pointed to a lack of loyalty as the reason for the demise of the imprint. "No one had any loyalty. Everyone was looking out for themselves," Marley said.
