Trina has no shortage of raw and raunchy raps. The Miami rap superstar has spent more than twenty years dropping provocative lyrics, and in a recent chat with HipHopDX, Trina was asked about her rawest verse.

“‘Naan’ was the first one. That was the raw one,” Trina told DX. “That was raunchy. It was one of those things where I just did it, I didn’t really care about it after the thought.”

The 1999 hit was a breakout single for Trick Daddy, and it prominently featured a then-unknown Trina kicking some of the freakiest rhymes heard at the time.

Lyrics like: “Nigga you don’t know naan ho uh-uh/ That don’ tried all types of shit/ Who quick to deep throat the dick/ And let another bitch straight lick the clit."

From there, Trina's career took off like a rocket. She would drop her debut album, Da Baddest Bitch in early 2000, kickstarting a 20+year career that continues today. She admitted that she's never been as unfiltered and freewheeling as she was in the beginning. Now things are much more planned and somewhat restrained.

“Everything else now I think about it," she said. "I go alter it a little bit, ‘Oh this is too nasty, take it out,’ ‘Naan?’ No. We’re going hardcore from the gate.”
