Tone Loc is mourning the loss of his friend Coolio. Loc spoke to TMZ about the death of his fellow rap star, who'd performed with Loc several times over the years. The two rappers were both Los Angeles-bred and topped the charts with infectious singles like Loc's "Wild Thing" and Coolio's "Fantastic Voyage." Those enduring hits made them fixtures on the festival circuit.

“I would say myself, Young MC and Rob Base, probably performed the most with Coolio, realistically,” the rapper told TMZ.  “The show we were just coming from last night in Orlando, Florida he should have been on that. It was gonna be myself,  Sugar Hill Gang, Young MC and Rob Base. And Coolio should have been up in there.”

The show in Orlando featured Public Enemy's Flavor Flav leading the aforementioned stars through Coolio's set, in tribute to the rapper who died in Sept. 28 at the age of 59.

"Coolio is heavily missed by us," said Loc. "That's my boy." An emotional Tone Loc shared with TMZ that Coolio once performed, alongside Young MC and the late Shock G, for Loc's family after his brother's funeral 16 years ago.

"I will never, ever forget that," he added. "He did that just because he loved my brother.”
