Rapper Magoo, born Melvin Barcliff, has reportedly died at age 50, per TMZ. No cause of death has been reported at this time.
The Norfolk, Virginia rapper was a protégé of producer Timbaland, and released the albums Welcome To Our World (1997), Indecent Proposal (2001), and Under Construction Part II (2003) as part of the duo Timbaland & Magoo. Magoo is best known for 1997's "Up Jumps Da' Boogie" featuring Missy Elliott and Aaliyah and "Luv 2 Luv U."
Digital Black of R&B group Playa confirmed Magoo's death in an Instagram post with the cover of Magoo and Timbaland's 1997 album Welcome To Our World. "Man can’t believe this RIH Magoo damn big bro wasn't ready for this at all," the artist wrote.
