Marlon Wayans announced earlier today (10/29) that Scary Movie is receiving a reboot. "Last week i said i had a huge announcement to make well here it is," he posted to social media.
"We're back! After nearly 20 years, the Wayans brothers are finally going to give the fans what they’ve been asking for, a return to the SCARY MOVIE franchise! We’re looking forward to having fun on the big screen again."

Scary Movie is a parody of popular slasher/horror movies, which was released in 2000. It was written by brother Marlon and Shawn Wayans,who also star in the film, and directed by their older brother Keenan Ivory Wayans. Scary Movie earned over $270 million with a $19 million budget. The film would eventually spawn five seqels.
