This year marks 25 years since the death of Freaky Tah of Lost Boyz, and the group is set to honor his life with the annual Freaky Tah Day on May 11. "The event sets off the summer," says group member Pretty Lou. "Even though its in May, and not quite the summer yet, there are different events in Queens like Hollis Day and Roxdale Day, and this is the very first one that starts that season."
"This is a day to give back to the community," says Tah's son, Freaky Kah. " There will be special surprise guests, bouncy houses, face painting, pony rides, food, vendors, and games." Kah explains that Jay Ball, and Tah's father founded this event 25 years ago, after the unfortunate passing of Freaky Tah.
