Talib Kweli and Black Star producer J. Rawls have dropped the new single "Native Sons" which pays homage to the Native Tongues collective. The single comes ahead of the upcoming collaborative album from the duo titled The Confidence Of Knowing, which is scheduled for a September 13 release.

Like many of their peers, Talib Kweli and J. Rawls have been heavily influenced by the Native Tongues crew that featured The Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Queen Latifah, Monie Love, Black Sheep, Chi Ali and more.
