T.I. has said his upcoming album, Kill The King, will be his last.
“It’s time to evolve beyond a career as a rapper,” he told We In Miami podcast, adding there are "a lot more people who are carrying the torch and pushing the culture forward.”
He says Kill The King, which he previously explained is a metaphor for "killing the ego," will be a double album with Kiss the King as the second part of the album. While one of the lead singles will feature NBA Youngboy, Tip says he can “probably guarantee” it's not what fans would expect. He also talked about the album with Boosie that never materialized. "The time that we had allotted for it we kinda passed by it,” he said. "It was ready, we got the records. It's so much that goes into releasing a record besides just releasing a record.”
Beyond music, T.I. is focused on expanding his footprint in film, with an upcoming independent comedy flick, Da ‘Partments. Check out the interview below.
