Styles P and Jadakiss of The Lox were guests recently on Creators Club where P praised his former labelmate The Notorious B.I.G. as the G.O.AT.

"For most people that understand him as the greatest MC that ever lived was that he was really great in all aspects of rhymin'," P explained. "Most people are good at two categories, three if you're pushin' it but he was good in all categories. He was also a charismatic individual who was classy and G at the same time."

P went on to explain Biggie's love of rhyming. "He was a student of the game and he loved rhyming, so when he heard us rhyme I think he saw that we embodied the same things that he embodied. He naturally clung to us."

During the conversation, Jadakiss explained that The Lox spent a lot of time in the studio with Biggie. "We were around B.I.G. and DMX the most," he revealed. "DMX more because he was our in-house older brother and family. Besides that, we were in the studio with B.I.G., so that gave us a plus over a lot of artists. We were able to kick it with him, smoke with him, and do songs with him, so it was hard to get that same energy from anybody else. Mase was there in the trenches with us too. He was cut from that same cloth."
