On Jan. 9, 1995, Kris Kross dropped their album, Young, Rich & Dangerous.
A follow-up to 1993's Da Bomb, and their 1992 debut, Totally Krossed Out, the album found the Atlanta duo—Chris Kelly ("Mac Daddy") and Chris Smith ("Daddy Mac")— continuing their attempts to shred kiddie image that previously defined them on their debut, just as they did with their sophomore effort Da Bomb.
On Young, Rich, & Dangerous, the transformation was even more complete, as evidenced by the two lead singles, "Tonite's tha Night" and "Live and Die for Hip-Hop" featuring Da Brat, Aaliyah, and album producer Jermaine Dupri. "Tonite's that Night" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart where it stayed for five consecutive weeks.
