Detroit legend Royce Da 5'9 dropped The Heaven Experience Vol.1 today (Aug. 12). The 15-track compilation includes songs from his mixtapes as well as his official releases.

Included in the compilation are five new songs which includes collaborations with Black Thought, Big K.R.I.T. and Courtney Bell and producers Jake One and S1. Royce's las project was 2020's Allegory which included features by Benny The Butcher and Conway the Machine of Griselda, T.I., Vince Staples and DJ Premier. Allegory debuted on the Billboard 200 at number 58 and was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2021 Grammy awards — Royce's first Grammy nomination. Royce released the first video from The Heaven Experience Vol. 1 , "I Play Forever" featuring GRAFH last week.

In a recent Breakfast Club interview, Royce gave props to Bad Boy founder Diddy who invited him to work on his 2006 Press Play album.

"I went out there when Puff was working on Press Play. This n**ga had be in a midi room just writing verses over and over gain, while he was in a luxurious A- room with all the celebrities and shit" the "Bad Meets Evil" MC recalled. "About ten years later , after I was a bit wiser I had to hit him on the DM to tell him how much I appreciate him and how much I took from that."
