Young Guru, the Grammy award-winning producer/engineer, has joined the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment at Long Island University. The Roc-A-Fella Records house engineer will fill the position of director of the music technology entrepreneurship and production program.

"I can't tell you how excited I am", Guru announced on Instagram. "This chapter is called 'education'. I am now the director of the Music Technology Entrepreneurship & Production program at the Roc Nation School." The celebrated audio engineer added that he was also giving away a full tuition scholarship.

Young Guru won a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album in 2019 for mixing the Everything Is Love album by The Carters. In addition to his audio engineering accolades, in 2015 Young Guru was named director of operations for 9th Wonder's Jamla Records, home to Grammy-nominated rapper Rapsody.

Young Guru is no stranger to the world of higher education — he has served on the faculty of The University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music as an artist in residence and lectured at New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Music.
