Charlotte, North Carolina rapper and 9th Wonder protege, Reuben Vincent, is the newest emcee to sign with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation. On Saturday (December 18) Vincent and Roc Nation confirmed the news by the way of an Instagram post where the emcee explains that it has always been his dream to sign with Jay since a young age.
“Man, it’s so crazy like, I remember being a kid like 5 or 10 years old watching Fade to Black on TV seeing Hov sell out Madison Square Garden,” Vincent says in the clip. “And then man, I remember getting on the bus and my friends asked me, ‘If you could ever sign a deal somebody, who would it be?’ And my first answer was Roc Nation.”
Vincent has been signed to 9th Wonders label, Jamla Records since 2017 when he dropped his critically acclaimed debut album, Myers Park. Now representing both 9th Wonder’s label and Roc Nation, Reuben Vincent welcomes fans to JamRoc.
He adds, “To me, that was just a dream. But one thing I didn’t know back then, was that some dreams stay dreams and some dreams come true. Welcome to JamRoc.”
