Remy Ma has officially joined ABC’s hit musical drama, Queens, which chronicles the reunion of an iconic women’s hip-hop group on the way to resurging their careers in their 40s. On January 4, New York City emcee Remy Ma made her debut as Zadie, aka Lady Z on Queens.

Last year, show creator, Zahir McGhee, announced on Twitter that Remy Ma was joining the Queens cast on November 18. Later, Remy confirmed the news while guest-hosting The Wendy Williams Show, "Speaking of female rappers, we have great news," Remy told the audience. "I am officially on the new show Queens on ABC."

The exciting news arrives just weeks after it was reported that Eve would be leaving the show due to her maternity leave. Luckily, the emcee filmed several scenes before her departure, meaning she will appear in most of the season.
