Rakim recently made the announcement on his social media platforms that he will be postponing his upcoming European tour dates due to scheduling conflicts.
"I'm unfortunately postponing the planned European concerts scheduled in June 2023," he wrote. "As the world celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop, I've been blessed with so many calls and invitations to represent the pioneers of this genre at innumerable once-in-a-generation events and awards."
The "Follow The Leader" MC went on to explain that the opportunities to perform in celebration of Hip-Hop's 50th have created a conflict that prevents him from traveling internationally and still give the performances that his European fans are deserving of.
"Stick with me if you can," he posted. "Our production partners in the U.K., Scandinavia and The Netherlands have already been able to reschedule and we expect the rest of our shows to have new dates announced shortly."
He then assured ticket holders that their tickets will be honored on a later date or eligible for refund.
