Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest delivered the commencement address at Boston's Berklee College of Music, where he also received an honorary doctorate degree. The producer and MC instructed the class of over 200 to not allow bad choices to define them, but to refine them. "To choose this path given the current trajectory of the world and its genocidal leaders, to its diminished choice of spiritual crisis is a courageous choice," he said.

In other Q-Tip news, the "Bonita Applebum" MC was recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame with his group A Tribe Called Quest. Mary J Blige, Dionne Warwick, Ozzy Osbourne, Cher, and Peter Frampton are also amongst this years inductees. ATCQ were previosly nominated in 2022 and 2023.
