"We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support in helping legendary producer Madlib and his family after losing their home, decades of music, and equipment in the devastating LA fires," his Instagram account posted on Monday.

"Your donation, no matter the amount, will provide assistance to help Madlib with immediate personal needs, essentials like clothing, temporary housing, transportation costs and the tools Madlib needs to continue creating the music that has touched so many lives."

Madlib is revered for his work with the late MF DOOM, J Dilla, and his alter ego Quasimoto. Fans discussed the fate of unreleased Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, and Dilla collaborations.

Producer Jazimoto announced last week (1/8) on social media that she was about evacuate her home, and the next day she posted, "My house is gone. I am sick and sad. Altadena is done." Jazimoto has worked with M.O.P., Teflon, and DJ Premier. "I play everything you hear," she told Rock The Bells of her production.

"I am a classically trained musician (violin and piano). Since I was three years old I’ve taken private lessons and attended conservatories. I use all live instruments and I play all the drums you hear, no chopped samples or drum loops. My early influences as far as producers go include Quincy Jones, Prince, Berry Gordy, John Williams, Leonard Bernstein, DJ Premier, and J Dilla."
