Prodigy of Mobb Deep's posthumous album The Hegelian Dialectic Volume 2: The Book Of Heroine dropped today (9/30). The 12-song project features DJ Premier, Faith Evans, Big Daddy Kane, Berto Rich, Remy Ma and Big Noyd.

Before his untimely 2017 death, Prodigy described the project in relation to the others in the trinity of releases. "The first album is the book of revelations because I'm revealing shit that I know," he explained. "Second album is called the book of heroine, heroine is spelled like a female because I'm dealing with relationship-type songs and female-type shit — partying, sex and drugs. The last album is the book of the dead and that's the solution. Problem, reaction solution and the solution is civil war."

The project was led by the single, "You Will See" featuring Berto Ric, while the DJ Premier-produced song and animated video "Walk Out" was released earlier this month.

Prodigy's estate describes the upcoming album as part of a trilogy, with the third installment, The Book of The Dead, expected to arrive in 2023.

Due to legal disputes with his estate, only Return of The Mac, Product of The 80’s, and his Mobb Deep recordings have been available for the last three years. The estate, which consists of Prodigy’s family and close former associates, has signed a management deal with NorthStar Groups L. Londell McMillan and a distribution deal with Warner Music Groups ADA to re-release the rest of his albums to streaming services for digital purchase.

“We are extremely thankful to all the fans for understanding the circumstances that our family had to professionally control at a time of grief, and for the kind words of encouragement, we received from many of you," the estate says via statement. "We would also like to thank the community of Hip-Hop artists who came together to help us assemble Prodigy’s last projects. The music belongs to all of you and we are glad we can make it available again and forever.”
