A teaser for Patti LaBelle's upcoming Drink Champs episode was released on IG on Monday (7/25). From the one-minute clip, It looks like the episode is one for the books.

"I cleansed myself today on this show," the legendary soul singer says in the clip. "I said a lot of things that I probably shouldn't have, but I don't care. I said it and I feel good about being here."

The cleverly edited clip did a great job of building anticipation for the episode. One interesting portion showed LaBelle wondering if she had to smoke "reefer" on the show. Speaking on the late Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin who many fans perceive as her rival, she clarifies, "Me and Aretha, we were good."

She also hinted that Luther Vandross got his start in the business selling clothing to her. "I heard he was stealing 'em," she said in response to host N.O.R.E.

LaBelle also is seemingly familiar with N.O.R.E.'s hit "Super Thug" as she sings a portion of the hook in the clip, and she also seems to have enjoyed Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B's "WAP." Labelle is no stranger to Hip-Hop, as she was signed to Def Soul Classics, a Def Jam records affiliate in the early 2000s. She also collaborated with Big Daddy Kane on 1991's "Feels Like Another One."
