After the hosts suggest that only Drake or Lil Wayne would be formidable opponents, Nicki responded: “But see Drake and Wayne have so many bona fide Hip Hop hits you know what I’m sayin’? But there might be a female or two that…” It was clear that Nicki didn’t want to share names, but the interviewer understandably kept pressing for the actual names that Nicki thought would be worthy opponents.

“Well they were talking to me about it, and look, if it’s gonna be fun and like you know, then you never know. That’s all I will say about that. It should feel like a celebration. That’s exactly what I would like it to be. Fun and happiness because with my career a lot of times it feels like work, and now I’m just like no, everything needs to feel good” Nicki explained further, still withholding names.

Fans have long whispered that they would like to see Lil Kim (who has gone back and forth with Minaj in the past) as an opponent. The self-proclaimed Barbie never did furnish names, but her fans are sure to make their suggestions known as this conversation promises to feed their desire to see Nicki go toe to toe on the big stage.
