Grammy award-winning artist and Maroon 5 keyboardist PJ Morton is rolling out his upcoming fourth solo studio album Watch the Sun later this month. In preparation for the forthcoming project, Morton recruited two generations of Grammy-award-winning artists for the lead single, “Be Like Water.”

On Thursday (April 21), Morton released the Stevie Wonder and Nas-assisted track, “Be Like Water,” a soulful bit of Hip-Hop and R&B fusion that is reminiscent of the sound and feel of classic 1970s Stevie, when the legendary singer-songwriter delivered masterworks like Innervisions and Songs In the Key Of Life. Nas delivers a spirited verse about self-growth all while denouncing all haters that come his way.

PJ Morton also announced a 39-date world tour starting in Australia in late May and ending in New Mexico in October. He took to social media to announce the tour dates and album release date.

“Did you get your #WATCHTHESUNTOUR ticket yet? If not, don’t miss out on the general sale TODAY at 10 am local time! There are still a few VIP packages left in select cities: http://events.seated.com/pjmorton. My new album #WATCHTHESUN is out everywhere April 29!,” PJ Morton tweeted on April 22.

Along with Stevie Wonder and Nas’ guest verses, Watch The Sun includes contributions from artists such as Chronixx, Jill Scott, and Wale. The line "be like water," is from a famous quote from martial arts great Bruce Lee. And Be Water is the title of a 2020 documentary about the late icon.

The project is set to arrive next Friday (April 29).
