ROCK THE BELLS radio host Torae recently broke down the numerous highlights from Nas' historic show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 25.

Of course, the show, which was a nod to his King's Disease trilogy, featured an appearance by Hit-Boy, the genius producer behind the legend's incredible four-album run including King's Disease in 2020, King's Disease II in 2021, Magic in 2021 and King's Disease III in 2023. The two performed the fan favorite, "Michael and Quincy" from the third installment in the trilogy, which spotlights their creative chemistry, comparing it to Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones in the early 80s. “He’s like my Quincy [Jones], you know what I mean?” Nas said in an interview last year. Both the first and second King’s Disease projects were nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammys, with the first album winning.

Mary J. Blige also made a surprise pop-up for Nas' recent rendition of her classic, "Reminisce." And Nas was especially excited to bring out one of his "heroes," the legendary Slick Rick, who just weeks ago was honored with a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bottom line — Nas pulled out all the stops for his sold-out show. Check out Torae's breakdown below.
