LL recently made history as the first and only Hip-Hop artist to chart Billboard in the last 5 decades. His 14th studio album, THE FORCE debuted at number 9 on the Billboard Top Rap Album Chart, which gave him his fifth consecutive Top 10 on that list which was launched in 2005. The DEFinition (2004), Todd Smith (2006), Exit 13 (2008), and Authentic (2013) also debuted on the Top Rap Album chart.
The Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart was launched in 1985, and encompasses LL's entire career as a recording artist. His debut album Radio was released in 1985, and THE FORCE is his 15th album to appear on that chart. LL COOL J is the first and only Hip-Hop artist to chart a Billboard entry in each of the last five decades, solidifying his greatness and staying power.
