He said he's looking to make Fab Week similar to a South by Southwest for the Bay Area, where people from all over the country fly into the Bay to celebrate. With that in mind, The Breakfast Club's DJ Envy, Atlanta-based Gangsta Grillz creator, DJ Drama, the legendary Slick Rick, Drink Champs' N.O.R.E., and more will celebrate the event with appearances. And of course, Bay Area legends like RBL Posse, Richie Rich, and Celly Cell are also slated to perform.
"In 2023 I'm big on love," Fab said. "And that's the narrative that people need to rally behind because the world has been filled with so much hate. That's what this is about — we're pushing love. It's also about highlighting the Bay, and showing that the Bay Area is where it's at."
Showcasing his community commitment, last year, Fab was honored with a key to the city of Oakland. "The honor of having a key to the city means a lot," the rapper said of the accomplishment. "This has always been a childhood dream of mine, to just try to make a difference. Music is one thing, and I love my gift, my passion, but using my platform to help others, that's the greatest gift."
