The Hip- Hop 51 Walk This Way March For Urban Health and Conflict Resolution is planned for August 11, Hip-Hop's 51st birthday. "We, the original and authentic Hip-Hop culture are closing our 50th anniversary with a march through the Bronx for urban health and non violent conflict resolution," says march planner and spokesperson KRS-One.

"This is what our community needs right now, there is simply too much argument, and not enough agreement,too much attention upon conflict, gossip, and scandal, and not enough on peace, love, and unity" he says further.

KRS-One, MC Lyte, Grandmaster Caz, Kurtis Blow, Grandwizzard Theodore, Coke La Rock, DJ Doo Wop, DMC and many others will be participating in the march, which is co sponsored by Washington DC's National Hip-Hop Museum.
