Maryland emcee Logic is officially back—after announcing his "retirement" from rap following his last studio album, No Pressure. On Tuesday (January 11),  Logic took to Twitter to tell fans he's busy working on a brand new album, recorded on one of JAY-Z’s old microphones.

“I made this beat with my mouth. Working on a new album called ‘Vinyl Days,’” Logic shared. As the video begins, Logic opens a used mic, saying, “This is JAY-Z’s microphone,” he explains. “I’m about to make a fucking beat with my mouth.”

In 2020, Logic announced his retirement from rap after dropping his sixth studio album No Pressure and welcoming his first-born son into the world. Just a year later he would drop a surprise mixtape under his alter-ego, Bobby Tarantino. Now, looks like the emcee is officially back and ready to release music under his original mononym.
