While explaining his difficulties with releasing a biopic, in a recent interview with Mehdi Maïzi, Grammy winning artist LL COOL J explained the many firsts that he has achieved in Hip-Hop. "I have a hard time getting excited about [a biopic]," the "Hey Lover" MC explained.

"I'm still trying to create. I'm very much still in it." The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee then stated his importance to the culture. "I say this humbly, but one day people are gonna wake up and realize that LL COOL J is the most important rapper that ever existed.

I truly believe one day people are gonna say that. They'll say when it comes to the jewelry, that this is the guy that introduced all the diamonds, ice and champagne. When it comes to the love songs, this is the guy who introduced all the love shit."

He then continues to list his accomplishments over the last four decades, including "the bad boy/rebellious vibe", inventing the G.O.A.T. acronym, launching Def Jam, being the first solo artist to take the music around the world, and more. Check out the interview above.
